EPA GCSB Facility Site Visit: Bridging Laboratory Research & Coastal Management
You are invited to a technical tour and discussion at the EPA’s GCSB facility. They will highlight their integrated approach to coastal science, featuring:
- Physical Tours: Coral laboratory and field room operations.
- Analytical Capabilities: Nutrient analysis, Sediment Profile Imaging (SPI), and benthic/invertebrate collection.
- Advanced Modeling: Insights into our latest biological impacts of water quality, identification and measurement of ecosystem services, hydrodynamic, and spatial modeling tools.
This visit is a key opportunity for influential stakeholders to meet the management team and discuss how GCSB’s field and laboratory capabilities can better serve our local coastal community. The aim is to build coalitions and explore possible partnerships, projects, or further networking.
Registration is required for the tour. The security team will have a list of registrants for check-in at the facility. A REAL ID-compliant driver’s license/identification card or a passport is needed to enter.
In the event of that there is too many registrants to facilitate the tour, those with active FAEP memberships will be given priority. To join or renew your membership see this link: https://www.faep-fl.org/renew-join-here
