2026 NWFAEP Student Scholarship: Applications Now Open!
Scholarship Overview
- Award Amount: $1,000 (one-time distribution).
- Eligibility Criteria:
- Undergraduate or graduate student enrolled at an accredited college or university in Northwest Florida (e.g., University of West Florida, Northwest Florida State College, Gulf Coast State College) OR a high school student of Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton Counties.
- Enrolled in an environmentally related degree program (e.g., Environmental Science, Coastal Management, Marine Biology, Geology, Environmental Engineering, or Policy).
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Application Requirements:
- Completed Application Form.
- Official or Unofficial College Transcripts.
- Resume / CV highlighting relevant coursework, internships, or volunteer work.
- One Letter of Recommendation from a faculty member or environmental professional.
- Essay Response (500–750 words) addressing: “What environmental challenge facing Northwest Florida are you most passionate about addressing, and how do your career goals align with NWFAEP’s mission?”
- Submission Deadline: December 1, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. CST
- Winner Announcement: January 2027
